At Joseph Hillenmeyer Garden Design we create spaces for connection and meaning, places with context and history; designs with respect for place and love of land. Each project is carefully wrought, extending a distinct sensitivity to the space and the people who will enjoy it. At it’s best, a developed landscape represents a living intersection wherein ecology, architecture, culture, and art all convene, sometimes in the most subtle expressions.
OUR TEAM
Created landscapes are bound in relationship: relationship to the land, its history, and with the people who spend time in them. We find that the best outcomes emerge alongside genuine relationships with our clients. Our intent for each design is to communicate a sense of grace and cohesion. Likewise, we forge that same harmonic ease with a turnkey experience for our clients, from initial meetings and site assessment, throughout design development and construction, then extending over the course of a lasting relationship. Each of us brings unique skill, passion and expertise to our process. We approach projects as an interactive team, working within the framework Joseph has built over the last 25 years designing gardens.
